Vikramashila and other holy sites visits by VV Thrangu Rinpoche 2017
Vikramashila and Nalanda were 2 of the most important Buddhist universities in India during the Pala Empire. It was established by King Dharmapala in 8th C.E. Rinpoche also visited the cave of Jowo Jey, which is situated near the banks of Ganges river. It was only accessible by series of tunnels by practitioners during that era.

Tashiding means locally as “The Devoted Central Glory”. It is a pilgrimage site dedicated to Guru Rinpoche. Tashiding Monastery was built by the Nyingma sect in 1717.
Rumtek Monastery, Sikkim where Thrangu Rinpoche visited the Stupa of the 16th Karmapa.
Gyaltsap Monastery, Ralang where Thrangu Rinpoche received the Red Crown Ceremony from H.E Goshir Gyaltsap Rinpoche.
Thrangu Rinpoche also visited Bokar Monastery, Mirik at Darjeeling.
Announcement on weekly practice
Dear All.
Please be informed the regular weekly practices and prayers at the Centre are to proceed in the absence of Lama Lodro who shall be back in mid Dec. The person in charge appointed by the committee will be at the Centre to open the doors. Unless prior announcement is made please come to the Centre for your regular practices no matter whosoever turn up. However, please note the Dharma Generosity Chanting practice on the 18th Nov is cancelled.
